TL;DR: Listen to this instead!

The bigger picture isn't always clear, so let me draw one for those too thick-skulled to see what's coming. The Canadian government under Reee-turdo (Trudeau Jr.) are proposing legislation that demands news providers share their revenue if they want to be displayed online in Canada.

LET ME REPEAT THAT FOR THOSE IN THE BACK:

THE CANADIAN GOVERNMENT WANTS MEDIA TO SHARE THEIR REVENUE in EXCHANGE FOR YOUR VIEWERSHIP.

You don't need to be Einstein to see what is happening, that is, if you're following current affairs:

Headline from the National Post reads: Facebook threatens to pull news content in Canada over revenue-sharing bill
Bill C-18, did ya hear?

and then Google:

National Post headline reads: Google tells MPs bill forcing it to share revenues with news publishers is 'bad public po
Google has "serious" concerns.

In case you don't get it, this bill is going to make giants like Meta and Google BLOCK NEWS CONTENT unless they share their revenue with publishers.

I don't know how you feel about this, but government deciding on what I can or cannot see, PISSES ME RIGHT THE FUCK OFF. Welcome to media dystopia, where the only news you'll get is from government approved sources.

We're getting fucked sideways, upside down, backwards, and sideways again. Change my mind. There's a comment section below this article: I dare ya.

Is that really what you wanted for the future of Canada?

P.S.: You consented to funding this. When you signed your employment documents, you consented. When you gave your vote, you consented. When you were born and your parents signed the birth act, they consented. P.P.S.: Your BANK NOTES are LEGAL TENDER . Their money, their rules! Don't like how they're spending money? STOP USING THEIR MONEY.

Ciao, bye.
